Using this site, whoever you are

We want everyone to be able to read this website and, in time, to use the corresmo platform. This page sets out where we are, and where we are not — yet.

What we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA. That is the standard most organisations ask about, and the one we hold ourselves to.

That applies to the platform, where it matters most, and to this website.

How this website is built

Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, including the menus, and the item you are on is outlined as you move through the page.
Photographs and screenshots carry a written description for anyone using a screen reader. Decorative images are marked as decorative, so they are skipped rather than announced.
Pages use real headings in a sensible order, so a screen reader can jump between sections.
Text reflows when you enlarge it or view the site on a phone. Nothing depends on a particular window size.
There is no automatic movement, no video that plays by itself, and no time limit on anything.
Nothing is explained by colour alone.

The platform itself

corresmo is in active development and is not yet in use. Accessibility is part of how it is being designed, and it will be assessed against WCAG 2.1 AA before it handles client work.

If your organisation has its own accessibility requirements, tell us early. It is far easier to build to them now than to retrofit them later, and we would genuinely rather hear them at the first meeting than at procurement.

If something on this website is hard to read or impossible to use, please write to hello@corresmo.com and tell us what happened and what you were using. We will reply within five working days, and we will tell you what we intend to do about it.

If you need something from this site in a different format, ask and we will send it.
